All fishermen have approached an area and thought, “It will take a long time to fish this spot.” Unless fish are super-active and spread out, you’ll waste a lot of time by fishing all of the long structure like a drop-off or big flat.
The solution is simple. The first thing is to use your electronics. Sonar and Side Imaging can isolate and identify where you need to start your fishing.
The second thing to do, whether you find a long ledge or a long treeline, is to spot-fish on one end, the middle, and far end. This will help you identify where the most active fish are located.
