Crappie Basics #139 Hot Days- Small Minnow

“Fish will suspend when it gets really hot but you can still catch a lot of
fish. The fish might get right on to of the water whether it’s 4 feet deep or 14
feet. It can July at noon, sweat running and the bite is better than at early
morning, totally opposite of what we usually have. One thing for sure that
will improve fishing is to use small minnows. They are much more productive
than mediums. Go ultra-slow and pay very close attention for a bite because
it will be very light or a swim away. Use small line and a sensitive pole like
