Team Reeve announced today that the 1st Annual Texas Jack N Jill Crappie Classic Tournament will be held November 3, 2018 on Lake O’ the Pines. Team Reeve has teamed up with the Crappie Anglers of Texas, Crappiemasters, the Magnolia Crappie Club of Mississippi, the Capitol Crappie Club of Missouri, and the Central Arkansas Crappie Association to bring this first-of-its-kind tournament to Texas. Teams composed of one male and one female member will compete for cash and prizes, and all sponsor proceeds will benefit the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC). Tournament hours are 7:30 am – 2:30 pm and angler teams must be in the weigh-in line by 3:30 pm at the Johnson Creek Park Pavilion. This tournament is open to the general public and 100% of the $100 per couple entry fee will go to the anglers.
“As an ovarian cancer survivor, it was important for me to try and bring awareness of the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer to a wider audience of women, and men”, said Rhonda Reeve, Tournament Chair and member of Team Reeve. “The NOCC is on the forefront of raising awareness for ovarian cancer and has been instrumental in supporting the discovery of an early screening test for this deadly disease.”
