The Florida Outdoor Writers Association (FOWA) recently held their annual meeting in Lake City, FL. Among their activities was the awarding of FOWA’s Excellence in Craft Awards (EIC). The EIC award is given in 12 categories for outstanding journalism related to outdoor communications.
Crappie Now writer, Ron Presley, received two First Place awards at the event. One came in the category of Family Participation and a second in the category of Electronic Online Publication. The online award was for a story about crappie pros, Don and Toni Collins, which appeared in the January 2014 issue of Crappie Now Magazine. The staff at Crappie Now congratulates Ron on his awards.
