“The fish are post-spawn so they move out away from structure and suspend up in the water. We pull for them fast with jigs at 0.8 mph or with crankbaits at 1.5 mph. It’s important to cover a lot of water because the fish aren’t real active. An active twister tail like a Southern Pro or Bobby Garland with a 1/16-ounce head is good.
