“Patience is so important. So many fishermen are looking ahead with the “Grass is always greener” in their eyes. There are times you drop a jig in and the crappie slams it on the way down. A couple of those and you have a fast pattern. But the majority of the time it’s not like that. A barometric change you can see in the actions of quail, deer, fish and other animals. Or, the rains or wind can change the water color. During those times, dropping a jig down and pulling it out after a few seconds can lead to very few bites.
