There are many techniques but few are more effective than spider rigging. You can stop, go slow or go fast. Everything starts with being set up right. I like 16-foot BnM poles to get baits as far in front of the trolling motor noise as possible.
The key item for spider rigging is the rod holder setup. Mine are Driftmaster Stalkers. I like each holder being on an individual stem so it can be adjusted front to back and up or down; any way you want your pole to go. The best thing is that it doesn’t matter which pole a fish hits, the others aren’t moving like they do when all holders are on one rack to t-bar. The one with the bite is easier to find. Also, the others aren’t shaking so they are more likely to get a bite. –Brad Taylor
