Transducers mounted to the back of the boat or on the trolling motor suffer a lot of abuse. Factory brackets are not made to suffer a solid impact which can easily end with the need to replace the transducer. A very costly item. Using well made protectors such as Transducer Shield and Savers will solve that problem.
