Crappie Basics – Show Us Your Fish
Karli DeMarco, 17, was very happy and understandably proud when she joined the “3-Pound Crappie Club” in August. Many crappie anglers fish a lifetime and never break that magic 3-pound barrier.
Karli, from Homer, Illinois, caught her monster black crappie (17.5 inches long) while fishing at Osage Vistas’s Marina on Missouri’s Lake Ozark fishing in a boat slip. The big crappie hit a minnow Karli was fishing just about one foot deep.
Karli’s fish is posted on the CrappieNOW Brag Board. That’s where we invite everyone to share their photographs. It does NOT need to be a 3-pounder. We welcome ANY crappie fishing photographs you are proud of.
Click the blue button titled “Upload Your Catch Photos Here,” and then follow instructions. All photos are reviewed before they go live on the website.
Hopefully you’ll catch a crappie as big as Karli’s, or maybe even bigger.
