Learn 2 Fish With Us and NPAA members Karen Karch #121 and Greg Karch #138 along with Learn 2 Fish With Us volunteers attended Get Up And Go Day which was held on Saturday, August 5th. Get Up And Go Day was held at the Timber Rattler Stadium in Appleton, Wisconsin. This event is hosted by PBS and was created so kids could get involved in activities that are held outside.
Learn 2 Fish With Us had a fishing educational booth where kids could learn about fishing from fish identification, knots and casting. The Learn 2 Fish With Us volunteers and NPAA members worked with each youth to help instruct them on casting so they could cast for the first time or become more accurate at casting with some tips. If the youth had a good cast they could catch a Backyard Bass!! And trust me, many Backyard Bass were caught!!! All youth were winners as each youth received something that was fishing related from hats, coolers, line cutters, shirts and more thanks to Learn 2 Fish With Us sponsors.
