Product Buzz, by Tim Huffman

TriPolymer by KastKing

An advanced monofilament uses a triple cross head process to form KastKing’s next generation line. The three nylon layers create low light refraction very similar to Fluorocarbon. The company reports line is supple and smooth, resulting in little friction and longer casts. It’s abrasion resistance exceeds traditional monofilament and Fluoro, along with greater knot strength. It has 12 percent less stretch for better sensitivity. Look for yellow, clear or green. 300-yard spool, MSRP $8.99.

Tungsten Crappie King by Northland Fishing Tackle

Tungsten is 30% more dense than lead, so a fisherman can have a smaller presentation with a faster fall rate. There are many applications when these characteristics are available. The new Crappie King Panfish Fly is perfect under the ice, and for many soft water situations. This bait is eco-friendly, heavy weight per size, more sensitive, has a sharp hook and the tell-tale Red “T” eyes distinguishing it as Northland tungsten. The tied bucktail and tensil can be fished solo, with scent or tipped with a small worm or tiny minnow. Available in 8 colors, including some Super-Flo options. MSRP $7.99.

Axion 2 LRF XQ35 Pro by Pulsar

A thermal monocular has a wide range of applications including safe water navigation, person overboard detection, game recovery for hunters, and much more. For fishermen, when running on the water in the dark, it’s best when trees, stumps and other obstacles can be clearly seen long before you get to them. The Axion’s excellent resolution provides a great image. Range is over 1000 yards, built-in photo and video recording, wi-fi connectivity, 8 color palettes, waterproof, 2-8X magnification, weighs 0.6 pounds, pocket sized. Axion 2 LRF XQ35 Pro MSRP $1999; without LRF (range finder) MSRP $1499.

Bunny Butt Crappie Jig by Pico Lures

Pico Lures has a ready to use, fish-catching rabbit hair jig. The Bunny Butt is a proven tied jig with just the right color combos. It uses a Mustad Skip Jack hook for an extra bite that hangs on to your fish. It’s tied with rabbit fur, a very durable hair with lots of action. The painted heads have double eyes and there’s a little flash added to the tail. Available in nine colors. 2-pack MSRP $2.76.
