“Not One More” Releases Compelling Video Following Drowning
by Richard Simms
In October 2020, news media outlets in Chattanooga, Tennessee widely reported on the drowning and subsequent recovery of DJ Young’s body from West Chickamauga Creek, a tributary of the Tennessee River. Young was 25 years old and had just recently learned he was soon to be a father.
Following her tragic loss, Young’s mother, Christina, created an organization called “Not One More,” dedicated to education and prevention of other drownings like her family experienced. Recently, in cooperation with Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency Capt. Matt Majors, ‘Not One More’ released an emotional and compelling video.
Christina’s hope is to share with others her family’s story and perhaps prevent another family from suffering through a similar tragedy.
