Every second of time is important when fishing a tournament. It’s not as important for a weekend fisherman but they can catch more fish with simple things like having their poles together and rigged when they get to the lake and having everything ready to fish instead of spending time after they get to the lake.
Minnows are a critical part of our fishing whether we are tipping a jig or using a double-hook minnow rig. One way to speed up baiting is to sort your minnows before you get to the lake. Instead of wasting time looking for the right size minnow when you dip into the bucket each time, spend a few minutes to grade them by size before fishing. You’ll catch more fish by keeping baits in the water and not putting the wrong size on because it’s easier than catching the right minnow.
